Inspiration is something which makes you enthusiastic about a particular hobby or doing, and provides you with new and creative ideas, as you all, already, know. And there are many people in this world who are inspired by various people and things in, usually, the topics which lead them to the completion of their goals and interests. But, have you ever thought, why couldn't some of them achieve what they want, in spite of knowing how to attain their desire or having enough inspiration?
When I was about eleven years, I had a wish. Just like everyone did. And the wish was to be able to sketch Japanese cartoons; Manga, in a proper way. I was in love with the hairstyles, dresses and almost EVERYTHING in those cartoons. So, in this post, I would like to share about how I put my efforts in the accomplishment of that goal.
Coming back to the reasons why some people couldn't achieve their targets, even then, was the absence of one or the other vital values. Now, you ask, What are those important things or values? The things are:
a) A Goal
b) Inspiration
c) Hard Work
d) Determination
e) Perseverance
I never practiced drawing for long when I was little. The reason was simple, "I'm talented and I can draw without practice". But, I used to give up, later, after drawing. "Why?" you think.
My mother and my sister used to, always, praise me (and still do) a lot saying that I was very much creative and had an artistic mind. Because of their admiration, I used to get boosted up and start drawing.
I had great expectations on the result I would get, every time. It was because, I believed, that I was a great artist when I was admired. But, getting average results after sketching, I used to give up and refused to draw, anymore. Do you think that if I would have continued the same way, I would have completed my aim? Never.
Maybe I had great talent, but nothing can be achieved without the important values. Talent is only useful in being a step ahead. But, it not necessary. It may help you to complete your goal, but can never be the only thing behind your success.
I got to know this valuable secret only after some years. Many life incidences paved my way to this. A few incidences were -
a) Meeting a hard working, and creative friend who I made my best friend later on.
b) Listening to my dad and sharing my experiences with him.
Just after learning this fact, I began drawing everyday, whether it was good or bad, with all my effort and without giving up. Even more, I hunted for various new techniques which could improve my skill and to gain more inspiration. With this continuos effort, within a span of six to seven months, I had a drastic improvement! I began drawing a lot better, which even amazed me!
So friends, the lesson which you could learn from my experience is that it's never too late for you to achieve something great. Start trying to reach your goal, and remember the five basic values - having a Goal, Inspiration; which can motivate you to reach your goal, Hard Work; you need to do something in order to get something, so work hard to accomplish big things, Determination; a strong focus and will to complete your goal, and the last, Perseverance; never ever give up. These values are a key to success and will help you reach great heights in life.
Here are some of my drawings, enjoy! =)
